Praise the Sun!
Short answer: The heliosphere is the vast bubble of solar wind, the stream of charged particles emitted by the Sun, that extends outward past the planets until it meets the interstellar medium at the heliopause. It deflects much of the galactic cosmic radiation that would otherwise reach the inner solar system.
The footage, credited to thegalacticvoid, shows an animation of the heliosphere.
