> Optimus, also called the Tesla Bot, is a humanoid robot in development at Tesla to handle repetitive or unsafe tasks. Announced in 2021, it was specified at about 5 ft 8 in (173 cm) and 125 pounds (57 kg). Tesla showed Optimus Gen 2 in December 2023 with faster walking, less weight and more dexterous hands. The footage, credited to Tesla, shows Optimus walking and handling objects.
