# Helo (DD-150)

> Military helicopters fill many roles, including troop transport, reconnaissance, search and rescue, medical evacuation and close air support, because they can hover and land almost anywhere. The Boeing AH-64 Apache is a US attack helicopter that first flew in 1975 and entered service with the US Army in 1986; it is also flown by many other countries. A pinnacle landing is a standard helicopter technique for landing on a peak, ridge or other elevated spot where wind and limited space make the approach harder. It's taught to helicopter pilots generally, not only Apache crews. The footage shows Apaches and other military helicopters, with the presenter.
